Gaden Jangtse Tsawa Khangsten

You can choose which monk you want to sponsor. The minimum amount is € 15, - per month. If you can not choose or want to choose just one person, you can also sponsor the monastery!

There are two types of sponsorship: the collective and individual sponsorship.

Most (child) monks of Gaden Jangtse Tsawa Khangsten are covered by the collective sponsorship, meaning that most of the sponsorship money is used for the livelihood of all of the monks of the Khangsten. A small proportion of the money the monk may keep to himself or is reserved for him. In the individual sponsorship, the monk may keep the entire sponsorship fee to himself. -Ghadong Monastery in Dharamsala

Ghadong Monastery in Dharamsala The Ghadong monastery in Dharamsala is the convent of the Ghadong Oracle. The small monastery was very important for His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan government in exile. The Ghadong oracle is traditionally the second most important oracle, after the official Nechung oracle. The monks here are trained to be able to continue to perform the ancient ritual. The sponsorship money is used for all monks in the monastery.
